Credit Reporting

Members can turn to JBT credit reports for the
following:
- Qualifying a new account
- Maintaining information on an existing account
- Granting extended payment terms
- Making collection decisions
- Monitoring changes in ownership
- When an account’s credit rating has changed
- Due diligence to comply with applicable laws and regulations, e.g. USA PATRIOT Act
It’s easy for members to order JBT credit reports on over 32,000 JBT-listed companies -- they are all available online with your member log-in and password. And if a company is NOT in our database, we’ll start a new investigation for you at only the cost of a single credit report.
JBT credit reports contain a wealth of information, including:
- Current credit rating and date of last rating change
- Number of credit inquiries in previous 90 days
- Collection claims, if any
- Current and historical trade payment history
- Additional detail such as owner’s background, business profile, available financial information, etc.
25 credit reports are available absolutely free each calendar year to JBT members.
Additional reports are nominally priced as follows:
- $5.00 JBT Interchange members; participation based on providing your monthly accounts receivables data to JBT electronically
- $10.00 U.S. and Canadian members; non-Interchange
- $15.00 International (non-Canadian) members
Of course, even with the best credit information, problems can happen. And if they do, your JBT membership provides you with the benefit of expert Collection services.
